JOB SUMMARY:

This is a Senior Tax Specialist position in the General Tax Administration Program, Lead Development Process. The incumbent analyzes and evaluates third-party data for the development and mining of compliance leads and identifies trends. The incumbent also develops training and procedures, reviews and develops process improvement, and acts as a subject matter expert on higher-level technical and legal projects.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.  
  • Three years of professional auditing experience.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or an area of business can substitute for the required experience.
  • Two years of experience conducting audits in the General Tax Administration Program can substitute for the required experience.

PREFERENCES:

  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience conducting limited scope audits in the General Tax Administration Program.

SPECIAL NOTES:

  • This position can be located in the service center of the successful applicant.

SALARY:  The hiring salary for this position generally will not exceed $5,222.64 monthly/$62,671.68 annually.
