Annual Base Salary: $53,700.14 - $54,774.20
Paid Bi-Weekly

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a current employee of the Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs.
- Must have the ability and willingness to always deal effectively and professionally with diverse individuals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in web-based applications and specialized internet research.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task.
- 2-3 years' experience working with veterans in a helping role.
- Successful completion of the due diligence process, to include but not limited to, a Level II background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Candidate served as a member of the Armed Forces of the United States and separated from such service with an honorable discharge. A DD-214 — member copy 4 or comparable document must be provided to receive preference.
- One year of experience writing formal business communications, including emails.
- Two years of professional experience supervising or serving in a leadership role.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This is a highly responsible position assigned to report directly to the Director of Hope Navigators and requires expertise in social services including extensive knowledge of veteran services and resources. Provides leadership and supervision to include compliance with program requirements/business model and effective performance feedback. This is an advanced professional work supervising and directing employees. The primary duties of the incumbent in this position are to spend the majority of their time communicating with, motivating, training, evaluating employees, planning, and directing their work; and having the authority to effectively recommend actions such as hiring, layoff, assign, and reward or discipline direct reports. Evaluate employees against established standards and take appropriate actions when necessary (i.e. recognition, reward, corrective action, etc.).
This is a Selected Exempt Service position.
