Your Specific Responsibilities:

Responsible for unloading, sorting, and routing all incoming mail.  This includes sorting and entering overnight mail into tracking database.

Serves as courier to pick up state warrants and make daily bank deposits for the department in a timely manner.  Ensure that incoming mail is picked up from the United States Post Office each morning and/or ensure that tapes and reports are picked up from the Technology Center

Ensures all mail/packages are processed with correct postage for daily pick up from United States Post Office.  Ensures all overnight packages are prepared and ready for pick up from vendor(s).

Serves as backup to Senior Clerks during absences to assist in mail courier pick ups within the complex.

Assists users of the Mail Services operations with tracking mail.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Operation of mail equipment, calculator and PC computer (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access).  Communicate effectively with staff and department personnel. Obtain good organizational skills. Must be able to lift 30 lbs.

 

Qualifications:

Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
