Your Specific Responsibilities:
This is a medically oriented staff position. Work includes performing a variety of clerical duties that require independent judgement, effective communication, accuracy and organizational skills. The individual in this position is expected to adhere to specified timeframes and deadlines. This position provides support to the CMS Clinical Eligibility Unit.
Receive incoming calls from parent/guardian and providers on behalf of the CMS Clinical Eligibility Unit. Have working knowledge of FLMMIS, CMS 3.0, VIDA other necessary data information system by accurately navigating CMS 3.0 to determine eligibility status. Triages phone calls and resolves non-clinical issues which includes verification of eligibility, general office contact information. Routes calls to clinical eligibility staff to conduct clinical screening. Escalates calls using appropriate chain of command based on the urgency of the issue.
Maintain return callback appointment schedule to parent/caregiver for Clinical Eligibility Unit to conduct clinical screening. Responsible for timely, accurate, and thorough entry of all actions regarding client in the current data system. Review and reconcile Safety Net Invoices, provide follow up on provider authorizations, and update Adoption Court Decree into the CMS 3.0 System.
Provide support in preparing and sending clinical eligibility correspondences to parent/guardian. Task includes printing letters, preparing, and processing outgoing mail.
Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years’ experience in an Administrative Support Position
