This position is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the seaport portions of the department’s five-year work program.

Your Specific Responsibilities:

Responsible for coordinating and monitoring the seaport portions of the department's five-year work program. Interpret and disseminate departmental requirements for intermodal and seaport financing programs and policies. Coordinates across offices and districts to financially program projects. Administers quality assurance to ensure intermodal and seaport planning and programming is consistent with applicable department procedures.
Serves as project manager for consultant contracts and task work orders, and Florida Seaport Transportation and Economic Development (FSTED) Council planning and data agreements. Prepares detailed scopes of work and cost estimates. Prepares and routes contract documents. Reviews, edits, and provides detailed comments on consultant deliverables. Maintains project files. Processes invoices for payment.
Coordinates the department's seaport grant programs. Provides support to District coordinators in the development and management of grants. Prepares guidance and templates for grant managers. Coordinates across modal offices (e.g., seaports, aviation, rail, and transit) to identify and implement best practices for grant management. Administers quality assurance to ensure grant documents and grant management practices are consistent with department and state of Florida requirements.
Supports the Seaport Office Manager. Assist in preparing and reviewing briefing, correspondence, and legal documents. Assist in maintaining and updating the Seaport Office web sites and internal office sites. Assist in maintaining department wide lists and documents. Assist in maintaining and organizing electronic network system folders, Assist in representing the Seaport Office at meetings and events.
Serves as program coordinator for the state of Florida's Construction Aggregate Program (339.651 F.S.) and Intermodal Logistics Center (ILC) Infrastructure Support Program (311.101(3) F. S.). Coordinate the review of project applications, make recommendations and determine eligibility, Provides direct technical and administrative support to the Seaport Office Manager.
Coordinates efforts for maintaining and updating the Seaport Office's web-based grant management system (e.g., SeaHUB), and assists in maintaining, improving, and implementing use of the grant management system. Identifies, recommends, and implements innovative technology, tactics and techniques that improve the department's programs and processes.
Provides direct technical and administrative support to the Florida Seaport Transportation and Economic Development (FSTED) Council pursuant to Sections 311.07 and 311.09, 320.20(3) and (4), Florida Statutes. Coordinates the review of project applications. Prepares and routes documents for review. Prepares, reviews, and provides FSTED meeting materials. Coordinates with Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) to implement Chapter 311, Florida Statutes.
Provides direct input into development of the Florida Transportation Plan, the Florida Statewide Intermodal System Plan, the Seaport System Plan, and other Department publications with respect to the intermodal, and seaport transportation elements. Participates in interoffice working groups and initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Seven years of professional experience in the field of transportation, logistics, planning or economic development. Registration as a professional engineer in accordance with Florida Statute 471 or as a certified planner (AICP) can substitute for six years of the required experience. Post-secondary education from an accredited college or university can substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
