GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This role supports the Florida Lottery’s Communications team by managing strategic partnerships, contracts, and community outreach initiatives. It oversees vendor agreements from negotiation through execution, ensuring compliance with contract terms and state guidelines. The position serves as a liaison with external partners, supports events and sponsorships, and assists leadership in executing partnership strategies. It also supervises support staff and manages multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a commitment to ethical standards, confidentiality, and excellent customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
The incumbent in this position is expected to:
- Be knowledgeable of the Lottery’s Responsible Gaming program, including the No Underage Play and Play Within Your Means messaging, and will ensure retailers and players are aware of the program and provided information, as necessary.
- Follow the Lottery’s Standards of Conduct, model ethical behavior, and demonstrate the Department’s mission, vision, and values in all activities.
- Provide excellent customer service, maintain a professional demeanor, and strive for continual improvement.
- Serve as a Contract Manager, responsible for the enforcement and oversight of a Contractor’s performance, ensuring services have been rendered in accordance with the contract terms prior to authorizing payment.
- Coordinates the Lottery’s participation in all contracted partnerships, including the negotiation, planning, reviewing, and approval of proposals.
- Negotiate and coordinate vendor contracts in a timely and professional manner.
- Develop relationships with community leaders and serve as the organization's liaison with various constituents.
- Develop, create, track, and oversee partnership contract/agreements.
- Assist the Strategic Partnerships Manager and the Director of Communications with all functions pertaining to Strategic Partnerships.
- Attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Occasionally assists with Promotional Merchandise distribution, planning and execution of a request and order.
- Occasionally assists with incoming proposal requests and monitoring the Partnerships email inbox.
- Supervises the Strategic Partnerships Coordinator role and their responsible tasks and deadlines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Weekend and overnight travel may be required.

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Preference to have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field of study. Professional and nonprofessional experience in communications, or a closely related field may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required college education.
Successful passing of a criminal background check (state, local, and national) is required.

The types of confidential information may include, but are not limited to, payroll information, budget matters, policy decisions, tax matters, employee disciplinary issues, and other personnel data.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (not required):
