MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

A high school diploma or its equivalent and five (5) years of clerical, administrative, warehousing, or inventory control experience, one (1) year of which must have involved inventory control, shipping and receiving, or other clerical work; or

 

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of experience as described above. 

 

College education from an accredited institution can substitute at the rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours for each year of the required experience.

JOB DUTIES:

 

Acts as the division’s property coordinator. Ensures division property is tracked from procurement through to surplus by using the Department’s Inventory Change Reports (ICR) and other tracking tools. Obtains the necessary information and signatures on the ICR reports and maintains copies of documentation for retention purposes. Assigns, maintains, and affixes property tag information to various types of equipment. Handles all activities related to the transfer and assignment of sensitive property tags for associated property items purchased in the division. Coordinates and handles various division property inventory questions and issues during the year within each of the bureaus. Serves as backup to the supervisor in response to various division management issues pertaining to property or inventory as required. Responsible for oversite of the distribution and retrieval of department issued equipment and uniform items. Assigns Sensitive Inventory (SI) property tags and tracks new IT items and inputs corresponding entries into Cherwell.  Works with OATS to tag and track IT items within Cherwell. Coordinates logistics associated with movement of property from headquarters to remote locations and from work area to work area within the laboratories and other areas.

 

Responsible for conducting annual inventory of division assets and sensitive items. Works with all bureau or section property liaisons to ensure inventory is conducted accurately and efficiently. Ensures inventory scanners are provided to field staff well in advance of inventory due dates to allow time to conduct an accurate inventory and locate misplaced items. Completes inventory documents for review by supervisor before submission to the assistant director for signature.

                 

Assists the supervisor with logistics management projects as needed and conducts other related tasks as assigned.
