JOB SUMMARY:

This Project Manager (Systems Project Consultant) position is located within the Department of Revenue’s Information Services Program Office of Modernization. This Project Manager position manages IT projects for DOR in accordance with standards and methodologies specified by the state of Florida and DOR. This position also provides technical assistance and consultative services to staff on a variety of complex IT projects, technical proposals, business cases and operational reports. This is advanced independent work providing consultative services on IT projects and systems to improve the overall management capabilities and operational procedures of the program. The incumbent of this position must be able to build and maintain business relationships while exhibiting decision-making skills and be familiar with Project Management best practices. The candidate must have professional experience in IT Project Management, be highly organized and self-motivating, possess excellent team building and communication skills, and be comfortable working with diverse business processes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Currently employed with a State Personnel System agency or department. 
  • Two (2) years of project management experience in a government or information technology related environment.

PREFERENCES:

  • PMP Certification.
  • Experience managing stakeholders and project teams.
  • Experience developing and documenting requirements for IT projects.
  • Experience using project management tools (Microsoft Project, etc.).
  • Familiarity with ISO Certification.

SPECIAL NOTES:

  • The anticipated starting salary for this position will be $60,701.62 annually.
  • Position is located at Southwood, (2450 Shumard Oak Blvd., Tallahassee, FL).
  • This position is not telework eligible.

SALARY: $57,666.48 - $63,868.68 / annually
