Job Description
The essential function of this position is to act as a liaison between court users and information technology (IT) staff to gather requirements and solutions business needs. This position helps to evaluate business needs, gather requirements, and translate requirements into technology solutions. This position assists the project management team in engaging business stakeholders as active participants in iterative software development, change management, business-rule/workflow configuration, data migration, and solution validation. The position works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.
Examples of Work
- Consults with business users and system administrators to develop business processes and solution requirements and electronic document management and workflow; conducts business analysis and facilitates discussions.
- Assist the project team with outreach to business users, including but not limited to business mapping (as-is and future state), gap analysis, change management, risk assessment, process optimization, solution validation, documentation, and project-related communications.
- Collaborates with IT project manager(s) to ensure timely application specific project deliverables such as business use cases for testing usability and quality assurance.
- Provide technology training and support for business users. Create and maintain user documentation and training videos.
- Tests applications and assists with user acceptance testing; creates test cases and scripts. Document and communicate customer feedback and sentiment to the project/development teams.
- Provides user support to staff, troubleshoots and resolves issues; trains staff on various technologies and programs or applications.
- Attends technical or professional classes, workshops, or seminars to improve professional skills.
- Other IT Project Management Office (PMO) related tasks.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, communications, engineering, information technology, or a closely related field.
Experience

Additional relevant education may substitute for the recommended experience on a year-for-year basis, excluding supervisory experience.
Five years of related work experience.

Ability to constructively contribute to the design of application user interfaces, i.e., Human-Centered Design (HCD.)

Basic knowledge of project management fundamentals and Agile software development.

Proficiency with information technology and a good understanding of computer science fundamentals.

Knowledge of or the ability to learn the fundamentals of relational databases, entity diagrams, and database modeling.
