JOB SUMMARY:

The Systems Programmer I position is in the Information System Program on the Service Maintenance team. This is work providing technical assistance to computer systems and users. The selected applicant will work with users and technicians to install and maintain SAP software and hardware, batch job scheduling software and hardware, SFTP application, and other related software and hardware as needed.  Creates and maintains flowcharts and documentation.  Able to follow the ITSM (Information Technology Service Management) process. This is a mission critical position and may provide on-call support on weekly rotations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Two years of Service Desk or IT support related to computer systems hardware and software experience. *
  • Two years of work-related IT experience in support of Systems Administration with experience in server maintenance, patching, and the ITSM process.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

  • * A Bachelor's degree in computer science or closely related area of study can be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

PREFERENCES:

  • Powershell scripting experience
  • Flowcharting experience
  • Experience writing and maintaining documentation
  • Knowledge of Service Management
  • Experience installing software on servers
  • Experience troubleshooting Windows or SUSE Linux servers
  • Experience in SAP server Administration
  • Advanced batch job scheduling experience
  • Experience with MaxDB and SQL databases

SPECIAL NOTES:

  • Position located in Tallahassee, Florida.
  • The anticipated salary for this position is $52,872.14
  • Skills Verification Tests and Interviews will be conducted on site for this position.

SALARY: $50,228.52 - $55,515.72.
