Total Compensation Statement

Your Benefits are a significant part of your state compensation. The total compensation package could be anywhere from $64,373 to $75,025 annually.  The total compensation package includes annual salary, insurance, retirement, leave and holidays.


Brief description of the position’s duties and responsibilities:

This position reports to the Systems Project Administrator within the Bureau of Service Operations and is responsible for providing systems administration and 1st - 3rd tier support within the Platform Infrastructure Support team, which provides management of the departments’ enterprise desktop/mobile support infrastructure and framework, SCCM, Antivirus, Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, DNS, DHCP, Server Infrastructure, and well as the ITIL Service Management support toolset.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge, skills and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position. 

  • Knowledge of systems administration processes, tools, disciplines, and best practices;
  • Knowledge of information security best practices;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft technologies (SCCM, Office 365, Azure, ADFS, PowerShell, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP);
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL database fundamentals;
  • Knowledge of information security best practices;
  • Knowledge of ITIL best practices;
  • Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures relating to information technology and information security;
  • Skill in administering Windows Server 2012/2012R2,2016,2019 and desktop operating systems;
  • Skill in use of network tools and server tools to analyze system problems;
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical data;
  • Ability to design systems;
  • Ability to evaluate and resolve user problems;
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and assignments;

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to applicants with the following experience:

  • Providing desktop/laptop support;
  • Administering or maintaining enterprise endpoint tools;
  • PowerShell scripting experience;
  • Planning enterprise endpoint management deployments;
  • Administering or customizing COTS/MOTS solutions;
  • Using SCCM to deploy clients/packages to workstations;



Preference will also be given to applicants who have a network certification or an Associate’s degree or higher in a computer related field.


Job-Related Requirements:  On call status is required for this position.

General Information

HSMV employees are paid once a month on the last workday of each month.  All state employees are required to participate in the direct deposit program pursuant to s. 110.113 Florida Statutes.
