SPECIAL NOTES:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required

Additional requirements:

  • Two (2) or more years of experience writing standard compliant HTML/CSS
  • Two (2) or more years of IT experience
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in web design/development
  • Experience using graphics software such as Photoshop
  • Experience designing or maintaining an organizations website

Preference will be given for applicants with experience with an enterprise Content Management System.

This position may be required to occasionally perform duties other than those listed on the position description.

This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.

Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of web development languages including HTML, CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), JavaScript, AJAX and Active Server Pages
  • Knowledge of modern web development best practices.
  • Ability to code, build, and troubleshoot HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
  • Ability to work with common graphics software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively; both verbally and written.
  • Knowledge of recognized industry-wide web development software/programs.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Utilizes HTML5, CSS3 and mobile responsive frameworks to design and maintain standards conforming templates for internal and external websites
  • Designs and maintains content management solutions used by the department
  • Manage multiple high-availability websites
  • Train and support agency content authors in agency’s content management system(s)
  • Provides publishing support for internal and external websites
  • Work with business area in estimating and prioritizing web changes
  • Conducts, analyzes, determines changes, and implements integration with Content Management solutions used by the Department
  • Provides support for agency customers
  • Provides graphic and web design support
  • Analyze and gathers metrics for internal and external websites
  • Monitors navigation and functionality of internal and external websites
