JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for monitoring, and maintaining Microsoft solutions in Azure, including services related to computing, storage, network and security. The incumbent in this position will supervise and assist current staff with Entra ID application registrations, Azure B2C management, and application deployments. Azure B2C management may include custom policies and claims configurations, application registrations, and secret/certificate monitoring. The incumbent will also be responsible for managing a custom Azure B2C Single Sign-On solution used by millions of users. An understanding of Single Sign-On federation onboarding and support, as well as proactively securing the agency's azure resources and hybrid environments, respond to threats and enforce data governance. Additionally, the incumbent in this position will assist in the management of Azure DevOps, writing infrastructure as code scripts, and configuring pipelines for custom business applications in Azure or on premises. Management of Power BI and other Microsoft platforms may be required. Strong technical writing skills are required for documenting procedures, processes and job aids.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) has an open position that is responsible for executing the following functions:
- Employee is expected to demonstrate knowledge, skills and ability to prepare, provide, and disseminate quality products representative of the Department’s commitment to quality, efficient services, and practices.
- Ensures the timely completion of initiatives and tasks. Keeps leadership informed of progress and problems, particularly as needs change in schedule, resources, or product.
- Employee will document all processes, procedures, Single Sign-On B2C features, and job aids for the Azure Single Sign-On team.
- Assures completeness and accuracy of the systems administration, monitoring and implementation. Ensures accuracy of work through sufficient validation and testing.
- Employee will coordinate with both internal and external development teams to manage cloud migration or deployment efforts as well as Single Sign-On B2C application and Identity Provider onboarding to the agency Single Sign-On solution.
- Employee will maintain an advanced proficiency in troubleshooting technological issues and errors.
- Reviews all deliverables and supporting work products for quality and conformance to departmental standards prior to their incorporation into project products.
- Presents project output to management and customers (both oral and written).
- Provides management with weekly status reports.
- Must be able to follow directions, have excellent writing skills and be able to communicate effectively with subordinates and leadership teams.
- Establishes and maintains a cooperative working relationship with all information technology staff and customers; and displays a professional attitude when interacting with information technology staff and customers at all times.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Licensure/Registration/Certification/Experience or Education:
- Knowledge in Cloud based technology such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services platforms, Identity and Access Management and other cloud technologies.
- Knowledge of basic management principles and practices
- Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis
- Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document workflow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices.
- Ability to follow and understand instructions, both written and verbal.
- Ability to organize data into a logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials.
- Ability to conduct fact-finding research.
- Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferences will be given to:
- Applicants who meet both the professional and educational experience.
- Applicants who have direct experience in/with Azure cloud projects and Azure B2C custom policies.
- Applicants who have technical writing and staff management experience.

- Annual Leave - Employees in Senior Management Service and Selected Exempt Service positions are credited with 176 hours of annual leave upon appointment. In subsequent years, the annual allotment is credited on the anniversary date of the initial appointment.
