JOB SUMMARY:

This position provides leadership and operational oversight for the Department of Revenue’s Release, Change, and Configuration Management (ITSM) processes, ensuring services are delivered in alignment with departmental standards, regulatory requirements, and business needs. The incumbent is responsible for managing day-to-day ITSM operations, supervising staff, coordinating cross-functional activities, and ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, and audit requirements.

The role requires moderate independent decision-making under limited supervision and strong collaboration with business programs, internal support teams, and leadership. The incumbent ensures effective planning, execution, and acceptance of scheduled releases; maintains operational metrics and reports; drives continuous process improvement; and supports audits and recommendations.

This position models ethical leadership, accountability, and professionalism, promotes a positive and productive work environment, and delivers high-quality customer service. The incumbent is also responsible for workforce planning, performance management, documentation standards, training oversight, and administrative functions within the unit.

This is a mission-essential position under the Department’s Continuity of Operations Plan and may require availability during emergencies or disaster events to support critical departmental functions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

  • ITSM experience (Change, Release, or Configuration).
  • 2 years supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Experience enforcing IT policies in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience coordinating IT changes/releases across teams.
  • Experience with ITSM metrics, reporting, and tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Experience with written and verbal communication skills.

PREFERENCES:

  • ServiceNow Change/Release/CMDB experience.
  • Public sector or large enterprise IT environment experience.
  • Audit, compliance, or regulatory support experience.
  • ITSM process improvement or automation experience.

SPECIAL NOTES:

  • This position is located at CCOC -2 (2450 Shumard Oak Blvd.)
  • This position is ineligible for telework.

SALARY: $66,000.00 - $73,500.00 / annually
