The Office of Information Technology, Application Development and Support team is an in-house maintenance and development shop.  We are seeking a full time employee to join our team for the maintenance, support, and development of .Net applications necessary to support the current Medical Quality Assurance online systems.

The Division of Medical Quality Assurance (MQA) is responsible for regulatory activities of various health care practitioners, facilities and businesses. MQA plans, develops, coordinates and manages the programs and services of regulatory boards, councils and department administered professions. MQA develops policies that allow the department to effectively and efficiently regulate health care practitioners in order to achieve the department’s mission of promoting and protecting the health and safety of all people in Florida. MQA serves as a liaison between the public and the professional boards and councils as well as between the licensees and their respective boards and councils.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Applicant will use Visual Studio for coding and code management.  Additionally, applicants will complete development work with Agile Scrum methodology, and will work in a team during application development.
  • Applicant will develop .NET applications using C#, MVC, Net Core and JavaScript such as jQuery, Ajax.
  • Applicant will be developing WebApi services.
  • Applicant will write database procedures in Sql server and Oracle.
  • Applicant will use Git repository for code management, and use Azure DevOps for build and release
  • Applicant will provide maintenance on existing .Net applications.
  • Participate fully in the project development process, contributing to the development enhancement and maintenance of systems.

  • Ability to clearly articulate verbally and in writing communications with the business needs and the proposed approach to complete assignments, including generating documentation.
  • Ability to use Rational Tools and Cherwell system to tracking issues and enhancements reported from the customer.
  • Assist in analyzing, recommending, coordination, implementing and monitoring new/revised technical and non-technical business solutions.
  • Ability to provide research, analysis, testing, documentation, and training for the business unit.
  • Ability to write unit test and function test.
  • Prepare test plans and participate in user acceptance testing activities.
  • Ability to write documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Ability to learn new technology and apply the new technology to application development
  • Knowledge of DevOps development
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Be able to work well in a team setting
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills

 

 

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and one year of experience in computer systems analysis, computer programming, or in planning or designing distributed computer systems;

OR

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course of study in one of the computer sciences or in management information systems.
  • Two years of experience as described above and either (1) completion of a 720-classroom hour program of study from a vocational/technical school OR accredited community college in an area of data processing (excluding data entry), or (2) 60 semester or 90 quarter hours of college course work from an accredited institution which includes four courses in computer science or management information systems.
  • Applicants must have at least 4 years of experience with .Net Framewok.
  • Applicants must have at least 4 years experienced in HTML, JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery, Bootstrap and CSS.
  • Applicants must have at least 4 years of experience developing applications using Visual Studio C#/.Net (MVC, .Net Core).

•Applicants must have at least 2 year of experience working within an agile (Scrum) team.

•Applicants must have at least 4 years of experience writing SQL queries and stored procedures.
