POSITION SUMMARY:

This is an exciting opportunity within FDLE’s Information Technology Services Division. The incumbent will be responsible for project Business Analysis activities which include managing customer relations, gathering and documenting business requirements (both functional and nonfunctional) by facilitating IT requirements gathering meetings, managing the project backlog, assisting with project documentation, and ensuring quality delivery through testing and customer approval processes. The position serves as a business analyst in the development and maintenance of information systems (design, review, testing, documentation).  This position also aids other members in the performance of these tasks. 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specific duties for this position include:

  • Responsible for project Business Analysis activities required for FDLE’s BSE customers;
  • Managing customer relations, gathering and documenting business requirements (both functional and nonfunctional);
  • Scheduling and facilitating IT requirements meetings;
  • Assisting with project documentation development;
  • Consulting with FDLE customers and vendors, and conducts assessments in order to determine user needs and to define system requirements;
  • Providing assistance to other FDLE members in the performance of these tasks;
  • Utilizing and managing Jira issues for multiple projects and dashboards;
  • Performing application testing;
  • Performing audit assessments; and
  • Performing other related assignments as requested by supervisors.   

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing;
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others;
  • Ability to translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements;
  • Ability to process information logically and analytically;
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate multiple work assignments simultaneously;
  • Knowledge of the principles that promote effective quality control;
  • Knowledge of business analysis, and customer service;
  • Knowledge of modeling techniques to elicit and document requirements; and
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint.

BASE SALARY:

  • $52,530.14

 

NOTES:

Starting salary will be at the minimum of the class pay range, unless otherwise dictated by FDLE's pay policy. The elements of this selection process may include a work sample and/or interview. Future vacancies may be filled from this position advertisement.
