DESCRIPTION:
The Department of Juvenile Justice, Office of Management Information Systems (MIS) is seeking applicants for one Systems Project Analyst positions located in Florida. This position is a member of a fast-paced application development team focused on new and enhanced development in ASP.NET. This position is a “hands-on” developer for .NET application development projects.
The idea candidates must be highly motivated and have a strong desire to work in a team oriented environment. The candidate should have demonstrated working experience in providing software development for applications developed on an Enterprise level.
The candidate for this position will be responsible for architecture design/upgrades, programming, planning, and implementing a project, work with a team of developers; able to follow DJJ’s Information Systems Development Methodology; able to troubleshoot and resolve system problems, able to analyze statewide agency business requirements and design systems to meet those business requirements; and able to develop user-friendly WEB application as well as client/server systems.
Candidates must have professional experience as a technical team leader and experience with web application development using ASP.NET, VB.NET, SQL Reporting, Visual Studio, .NET Framework 3.5 / 4.0, Core 3.0 or higher, C#, MVC, knowledge of Microsoft Azure, relational databases SQL Server, SSIS packages.
The salary range for this position will be based on the applicant’s skill level.
PREFERRED MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
5 years of experience in leading .NET development teams, 5 years of working experience in Web application development, 5 years of working experience in .NET applications development and 5+ years of working experience in relational SQL data base application development and web application development using Visual Studio, ASP.NET, VB.NET programming, Visual Basic programming, SharePoint, C#, MVC, Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, SQL Server 2012 or later, IIS 7, SQL Reporting and create SSIS packages.
Candidates must have professional work experience developing applications using .NET. Preference will be given to applicants with professional work experience developing applications using VB or C#, ASP.NET, MVC, NET Framework 3.5 / 4.0, Core 3.0 or higher, C#, MVC, knowledge of Microsoft Azure and SQL Server.
Normal work hours are Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m however, working on weekends to deploy applications may occasionally be required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Knowledge of Object Oriented programming principles and best practices.
Knowledge of relational database design.
