This position will serve as a contract manager for the Division of Technology and Innovation within the Resource Management section. The person in this position is expected to manage the division's IT procurements and successfully execute IT contracts and amendments. 

 

Duties & Responsibilities:  
This position functions with a high degree of independence and initiative in the development of contract documents, and the successful approval and execution of contract and amendments. 
•    Provides technical consultation, research, recommendations, and quotes for DOE technology purchases. 
•    Enters requests for e-quotes into MFMP Collaboration. 
•    Enters, reviews, approves, and receives purchases in MFMP AOD. 
•    Monitors contracts for compliance and performance. 
•    Receives, reviews and process invoice submissions in a timely manner and monitors the successful payment process as well as contract expenditures and encumbrances. 
•    Coordinates meetings for the Division's designated technical contacts. 
•    Advises management on policy problems related to technology needs and any potential issues. 
•    Assists management in developing plans for meeting customer requests in a timely manner. 
•    Coordinates the tracking of deliverables and supporting work products for completeness and quality assurance. 
•    Serves as back-up for the contract routing liaison by handling routine correspondence, researching subject matter, and preparing responses as appropriate. 
•    Assists the grants and procurement office in FACTS (Florida Accountability Contract Tracking System). 

 

The incumbent must comply with all Department of Education contract administration policies and procedures. The incumbent must either have a Florida Certified Contract Manger certification or be able to achieve FCCM certification within 6 months of employment.

LEAVE INFORMATION: 

  • Annual Leave - All full-time Career Service employees filling established positions earn annual leave in varying increments dependent upon years of creditable service. Employees with up to 5 years of creditable service earn 8.667 hours per month, with 5 to 10 years earn 10.833 hours per month and those with over 10 years of service earn 13 hours per month. Employees in Senior Management Service and Selected Exempt Service positions are credited with 176 hours of annual leave upon appointment. In subsequent years, the annual allotment is credited on the anniversary date of the initial appointment. 
  • Sick Leave - Career Service employees earn 8.667 hours of sick leave credits per month.

Background Screening Requirements:
