This position participates in planning, programming, testing and documentation of technical projects for the Application Development and Support Bureau, Division of Technology and Innovation, within the Florida Department of Education. The employee in this position must be productive under tight timeframes, balance multiple and competing priorities and maintain goal-directed behavior and performance sometimes under stressful conditions. The employee’s performance and behavior must demonstrate consideration of the workload concerns of others and must not negatively affect productivity and morale of the unit. The employee must interact courteously with others. Attendance is an essential function of this position.



  • Designs and develops interactive, web-based database applications in accordance with client specifications.  Maintains existing applications.
  • Proficiency with ASP.NET, Object oriented programming, Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Experience is required in one or more of the following technologies and platforms in response to technology changes in this unit’s operating environment: C#.NET, Angular JS, Web Application development, Oracle, SQL Server, SSRS, PL/SQL, and SQL*Loader. 
  • Serves as a consultant to higher level supervisory in the planning of major systems.  Assists in the formulation of project objectives and system development requirements.
  • Plans and direct systems analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of computer based systems.
  • Ensures the timely completion of projects and tasks.  Keeps the Unit Manager and/or Project Manager informed of project progress and problems, particularly as needed changes in schedule, resources, or product.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.
