This is a professional position within the System Support Services Unit in the Bureau of Operations in the Division of Medical Quality Assurance.

 

This position performs configuration and set-up of the Versa: Regulation Licensure Systems (Branded as LEIDS/VO/IDM) based on legislative and business requirement changes.

 

Key duties:

  • Respond to configuration requests received from an internal ticketing system.
  • Advises on effects configuration changes may have on processing and other workflows
  • Determines necessary configuration changes needed to satisfy business requirements with the help of analysts and business units
  • Modify and test configuration changes
  • Create/Update configuration specification documents for each request
  • Research and troubleshoot Versa:Regulation Licensure Systems issues for corrections or reporting to the vendor for code fixes
  • Performs other work-related duties as required.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Document management
  • Ticket Management
  • SQL and PL/SQL
  • Communication of Technical issues and changes to non-technical managers and staff
  • Troubleshooting technical issues
  • Preference will be given to applicants who have I.T help desk experience
  • Preference will be given to applicants who have experience with Versa:Regulation Licensure Systems

 

Other job-related requirements for this position: Incumbent may be required to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency.  Emergency duty required of the incumbent includes working in special needs or Red Cross shelters, or performing other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural.

 

PREFERRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor's degree from a college or university and four years of experience in computer systems analysis and/or computer programming; or
  • A bachelor's degree from a college or university with a major in one of the computer sciences or in management information systems and three years of experience as described above; or
  • A master's degree from a college or university in one of the computer sciences or in management information systems and two years of experience as described above; or
  • A doctorate from a college or university in one of the computer sciences or in management information systems and one year of experience as described above; or
  • Five years of experience as described above and either (1) completion of a 720-classroom hour program of study from a vocational/technical school or community college in an area of data processing (excluding data entry), or (2) 60 semester or 90 quarter hours of college course work from an institution which includes four courses in computer science or management information systems.
  • Experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
  • Completion of a one-year program of study from a vocational/technical school in an area of data processing (excluding data entry) can substitute for one year of the required experience.
