This position serves as the primary point of contact for telephone inquiries into the Office of Medical Marijuana Use. 


Provides assistance and customer service to callers into the Office of Medical Marijuana Use by either providing responses to program related inquires using an approved call script, routing calls to appropriate vendors and/or staff, or obtaining necessary information to address public inquiries. Provides complete, accurate, and professional service to all persons who inquire or ask for assistance in a courteous and respectful manner. Greets and screens all persons to determine level of assistance required. Responds to telephone inquiries to determine level of assistance required. e.


Provide support for communications and outreach activities such as website maintenance, preparation of correspondence and preparation of communication materials. Typing and proofreading correspondence. Performs data entry and retrieval functions using department computer and software.  Composes and types routine office correspondence as determined and directed by the supervisor.



Knowledge, skills, and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position:    

  • Ability to plan and execute large projects.
  • Skill in typing and computer programs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment.
  • Must maintain quality of services in all tasks associated with this position.
