JOB SUMMARY:

This is a Tax Auditor II position in the General Tax Administration Program, Audit Process. The incumbent performs more complex audits to determine tax compliance as it relates to reemployment tax audits. Additional responsibilities include examining and analyzing accounting systems of taxpayers, computing tax assessments or refund adjustments, preparing detailed reports of audit results, and participating in or independently conducting conferences with taxpayers and/or taxpayers' representatives.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.
  • Nine months of experience performing reemployment tax audits in the General Tax Administration Program, Audit Process.

SPECIAL NOTES:

  • For applicants with a current CAD, the CAD will be added to the salary amount.
  • This position may require travel to conduct work assignments and the use of your personal vehicle.

SALARY: The hiring salary for this position generally will not exceed $4,228.11 monthly/$50,737.32 annually.
