JOB SUMMARY:
This is a Tax Auditor IV position in the General Tax Administration Program, Audit Process. The incumbent independently performs complex audits of multiple jurisdiction taxpayers and businesses in a variety of industries to determine tax compliance as is relates to the corporate income Florida statutes. Additional responsibilities include examining and analyzing accounting systems of taxpayers, computing tax assessments or refund adjustments, preparing detailed reports of audit results, independently conducting conferences with taxpayers and/or taxpayers' representatives, and assisting with the training of other tax auditors.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.
- Eighteen months of audit experience in General Tax Administration's Audit Process.
PREFERENCES:
- Preference will be given to corporate income tax compliance auditors.
SPECIAL NOTES:
- This position requires the use of your personal vehicle to conduct work assignments.
- This position may require travel which may include multiple overnight stays.
SALARY: The hiring salary for this position will generally not exceed $4,932.66 monthly/$59,191.92 annually. For applicants with a current CAD, the CAD will be added to the salary amount.
