WORKING TITLE: Technology Administrative Services Coordinator
This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Central Office in the Office of Information Technology, Systems Development.
As a member of the Systems Development team, our mission is to design, develop, and maintain innovative and efficient technology solutions for the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC). We are committed to enhancing our operational capabilities, improving data management, and ensuring the reliability and security of our information systems to support the department's goals and initiatives.
This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

JOB DUTIES:
The incumbent in this position supports and assists the Office of Information Technology (OIT) staff and provides administrative assistance to the Chief Information Officer. This position requires an overall knowledge of standard office management procedures, department and division policies and procedures, and fiscal management policies.
- Step in as the backup for all administrative functions across the Department, coordinating calendars, activities, and action items for OIT leadership and FDC Division leadership. Attend senior leadership meetings and assist with travel arrangements and conference room scheduling.
- Be the first point of contact for OIT assistance, routing requests to the appropriate bureaus, drafting communications, and managing the OIT general email account. Communicate key items to all OIT employees, including emergency management activities.
- Coordinate daily assignments with OIT administrative staff, maintain information on space allocation and planning, and lead on-site reviews of central office operations. Keep the CIO informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities.
- Handle public record request responses, coordinate the receipt of office supplies, and assist in creating and maintaining operational guides and office procedures. Support OIT coordination efforts during emergency management events, such as natural disasters.
- Manage exciting recruitment, selection, and separation processes for OIT, assist the CIO with employee complaints and human resource matters, and ensure the privacy and security of employee records. Keep the organization chart up-to-date and support various tasks related to personnel, purchasing, policy, operations, and budget matters.

REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or its equivalent.
- This position is in Tallahassee Florida and is a full time, on-site, 8 am to 5 pm position.
- One (1) or more years of experience with HR related functions such as posting job advertisements, creating, and managing position descriptions and separation process.
- One (1) or more years of experience with office management duties such as the purchasing, tracking, and receiving of office supplies.
- One (1) or more years of experience in an administrative assistant position or its equivalent.
- Three (3) or more years of experience with Microsoft Word.
- Three (3) or more years of experience with Microsoft Excel.
- One (1) or more years of experience with Microsoft PowerPoint.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Project management skills or certification.
