POSITION DESCRIPTION: Develop and maintain inventories that assist in the organized access to information and management of all agency Operating Technologies. The desired outcomes will be the development and maintenance of a shared digital catalog. Duties include capturing detailed business and technical information to support operations, procurement, innovation, and research. Collaborate, as directed, in meetings, research, and fact finding that assist management in strategic planning and budget development. Keep management systematically informed of issues that impact technology, data, and ancillary business processes. Inform management with urgency as it applies to safety and security. Present information to customers as directed and answer questions along with providing any needed user training.

 

Provide website and SharePoint site administration for the Civil Integrated Management Officer and staff, to include Civil Integrated Management Officer’s group, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Office, Surveying and Mapping Office and Transportation Data & Analytics Office. Perform the planning, organization, and maintenance of these sites.

 

Participate in the various enterprise teams that support tasks related to this position.

 

Develop and maintain procedures, guidelines and training instructions required by this position. Measures results against standards and making necessary adjustments. Improves workflow, when possible, to simplify processes and implement cost reductions. Assist others in the development of procedures, guidelines and instructions for data management, GIS, or survey related activities.

 

Perform other technical and support assignments as needed within the Civil Integrated Management Officer’s group. These assignments include but are not limited to security coordinator, property inventory, data distribution, data archiving, and maintenance of hardware/software.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of engineering, geographic information systems (GIS), information technology and surveying concepts, procedures, and techniques. Knowledge of project management and the value of completing projects on time and within budget. Knowledge of basic database concepts. Skilled at written and oral communication. Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Skill in web customization using SharePoint, web authoring or other programming languages. Skill in designing, implementing, and documenting projects and procedures in accordance with the Department’s standards. Skilled at interpreting and communicating technical information both verbally and in writing. Skill in installing or maintaining software and databases. Ability to work with diverse group of people. Ability to perform analysis and report results. Ability to learn and evaluate new technologies.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience in systems analysis and/or project management. Experience as describe above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
