Position Overview:
This position performs as the Training Coordinator under the general supervision of the Deputy Bureau Chief of Business Support Services in the Division of Real Estate Development and Management. This position works collaboratively with the bureaus to develop a division wide strategy for new employee, refresher, and professional development training.
The professional development duties and responsibilities listed below are related, but not limited to, the following core subject matter areas: Leasing, O&M, Building Construction, Business Services and TRIRIGA.
Position responsibilities:
Develop and facilitate training courses as assigned, while employing appropriate teaching and learning strategies to communicate subject matter for adult learners, to include utilizing supporting materials (program and instructor guides, job aids, presentation tools and equipment, video, and/or multimedia options). Researches and reports on best-in-class training practices.
Functions as liaison for the Division of Real Estate Development & Management to customers to identify needs and coordinate service and support for professional development objectives. Liaison activities include responding to internal requests and serving as a subject matter expert for customer inquiries. Coordinates with Bureau Chiefs and Budget Section to develop and track annual training plan for division.
Assists in the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of professional development programs and products. As assigned, develops tools and resources to further the aims of the program, to include procedures, manuals, and research as needed.
Completes pre- and post-class tasks, such as roster management, copying materials, resetting classroom, and maintains certification and recertification records, including program certificates.

- Knowledge of instructional methodologies for adult learners
- Knowledge of developing engagement and knowledge-transfer activities
- Skill in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)
- Skill in written and verbal communication
- Skill in developing and updating training materials
- Skill in public speaking and/or presentations

Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of a four-year degree from an accredited college or university AND a minimum of two years of instructional delivery experience; OR completion of an advanced degree from an accredited college or university AND a minimum of one year of instructional delivery experience; OR five years of professional instructional delivery experience.
- Ability to travel throughout the state of Florida approximately 20% of the time.
- Professional experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint), Adobe Products, e-learning software Articulate Storyline (or similar program).
- Experience with professional development media and delivery options.
- Knowledge of instructional methodologies for adult learns.
- A valid and applicable driver’s license is required.
