Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or its equivalent
  • Three (3) years of administrative/clerical work experience
  • Three (3) years of warehouse experience
  • Experience with moving furniture, office equipment, and large office supply orders
  • Valid driver's license

 

Preferences:

  • Experience with property and surplus management systems
  • Experience with central supply system for office supplies, and delivering the supplies
  • Experience with Microsoft office suite
  • Experience driving moving trucks
  • Experience with the usage of the P-Card System

Duties and Responsibilities:

This position performs administrative and logistical duties for General Services within the Division of Administrative Services including but not limited to the following duties:

Assists with Central Supply and getting orders ready and delivered.

Assists the General Services Manager in the oversight of building operations, maintenance functions, and office equipment operations at the State Record Center. Keep State Record Center clean and organized.

Assists Government Operations Consultant I and FLAIR Property Assistant with inventory and processing new, transferred, or surplus property. Assists with recycling, surplus disposal, coordinating moving crews, relocation of furniture and surplus office equipment.

Updates General Services general paperwork, databases, and spreadsheets performs other work-related duties as required.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiency in using computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. 
  • Ability to work effectively in both a team and an independent environment. 
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. 
  • Ability to work with a team and provide team leadership.

 

Other job-related requirements for this position:

 

  • Willingness to lift and move 40 pounds regularly.
