Position Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the quality of health care in Florida.

We are seeking to hire an Program Administrator who desires to work to enhance the delivery of health care services through the Florida Medicaid Program. 

This position requires a candidate who is creative, flexible, innovative, and who will thrive in a fast-paced, team based work environment.

 

This position is located in the Bureau of Medicaid Plan Management Operations (PMO).

PMO is responsible for the primary oversight of Medicaid’s managed care programs, with a focus on the Statewide Medicaid Managed Care (SMMC) program.

The bureau’s primary responsibility is ensuring that the managed care plans meet Medicaid contractual requirements, including the timely provision of medically needed services and provider payment for such services.

 

This position is responsible for managing the oversight and coordination of the Marketing Oversight Unit to include but not be limited to: reviewing administrative policies, procedures, guidelines and related directives impacting a managed care plan contract's compliance; evaluating contract compliance through oversight of managed care plan and dental plan activities; identifying potential compliance issues and problems; and recommending appropriate action.

Maintaining up to date knowledge concerning the Florida Medicaid program, including pertinent federal regulations, state statutes, administrative rules, Florida Medicaid State Plan, and Medicaid manuals. 

Directing activities of staff designated for monitoring and analyzing marketing activities of the Statewide Medicaid Managed Care Plans; ensuring deficiencies identified during monitoring are escalated appropriately; providing technical assistance to Plans in relation to their marketing activities.

The incumbent will ensure the appropriate planning for organization and coordination of strategic planning and management activities is in place in order to assist in the development of program goals, objectives and priorities of the program and special projects related to marketing.

The incumbent will also represent the Agency at local, state, and Federal meetings, participate in workshops, and coordinate with other state agencies.

The position supervises employees and has responsibility for hiring, evaluating, motivating, and directing employee work.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

•At least two (2) years of experience working with contract related activities (e.g. deliverables, compliance, technical assistance).

•At least two (2) years of experience in marketing.

•At least two (2) years of supervisory experience.
