The Office of the Capital Collateral Regional Counsel – Middle Region (“CCRC-M”) has an opening for a full-time Information Technology Services position in Tampa, Florida.  CCRC-M is an agency within the judicial branch of the state of Florida, similar to a public defender or a state attorney’s office.  The CCRC-M is an all-capital unit, and represents each person convicted and sentenced to death in this state for the sole purpose of instituting and prosecuting collateral actions challenging the legality of the judgment and sentence imposed against such person in the state courts, federal courts in this state, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.

 

Requirements: Applicants should have an education or background in or related to IT services.  A bachelor’s degree from an accredited school is preferred, but relevant experience can be substituted for a degree.  Additionally, separate IT certifications will also be considered (please include them, if possible, with your resume).

 

Job Duties: CCRC-M Information Technology Services is responsible for managing and supporting the information systems and technology within the organization.  Some duties will include configuring and installing hardware and software, training end users, troubleshooting technical issues, monitoring system performance and ensuring security and compliance with IT best practices.  Additional duties will include maintaining licenses and upgrades, implementing IT strategies, and coordinating services and escalations with our managed services provider.

 

Applicants must be able to organize work, set priorities and determine critical needs.  This position may also require occasionally working beyond business hours, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.  A background investigation is required as a condition of employment.

 

Salary/Benefits: This is a full-time, at-will position.  The starting salary is commensurate with qualifications and previous experience.  Please note that salary is only a portion of your total compensation, as benefits include health and life insurance as well as various supplemental plans; and paid annual leave, sick leave and state-recognized holidays.  Benefits also include retirement options such as an investment or pension plan and continuing education via the State of Florida’s Educational Assistance Program (https://www.myfloridacfo.com/division/aa/employees).
