The Office of the Capital Collateral Regional Counsel – Middle Region (“CCRC-M”) announces an immediate opening for a full-time fiscal/administrative assistant position in Tampa, Florida. CCRC-M advocates for the constitutional rights and inherent dignity of indigent persons sentenced to death in the State of Florida in their state and federal post-conviction proceedings.

Job Duties are:

  • Assist in the processing of invoices, disbursements, and other accounting transactions.
  • Assist in the initiation of employee travel in the Statewide Travel Management System (STMS).
  • Assist in payment and review of PCard charges.
  • Assist in the management of case-related records/documents, including, but not limited to: scanning, relocating boxes, preparing records for relocation, and tracking of records.
  • Work within a team environment to ensure the disbursement unit’s work is current and accurate, and assisting others when needed.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities (including utilization of equipment) required for the position:

  • Some knowledge of the FLAIR accounting system such as organization codes, funds, budget entities, general ledger codes, object codes, transaction codes and related code structures.
  • Knowledge of State of Florida travel rules and restrictions.
  • Knowledge of STMS such as forms and approvals.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel and operate in a MS Windows environment.
  • Knowledge or familiarity of records management or clerical work.
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs. overhead, sort and manipulate physical records unassisted, stand for extended periods of time and maintain confidentiality of clients’ files.
  • Ability to organize data from multiple sources.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Communicate effectively and work cooperatively within different groups in an office environment.

Salary/Benefits: This is a full-time, at will position. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits include health and life insurance as well as various supplemental plans.
