Multiple positions available. 

This posting will be used to fill position vacancies in Career Service.  

Location will be based on the selected candidate in one of these areas: Jacksonville, Miami, and Tampa, Florida. 
Incumbents in this position report to the office, this is not a telework position.  

Preference for Bilingual in Spanish/English or Creole/English. 
Current employees will be compensated in accordance with the DCF salary policy. 

The full-time work schedule is 40 hours per week, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm EST, Monday through Friday.

We are looking for people who are organized, who possess excellent computer and typing skills, are willing to learn public assistance policies and can engage with customers/citizens of Florida in a call center environment. 

What you will do:  

The primary function of this position is providing clerical services related to government assistance eligibility in a call center environment. This career consists primarily of phone interactions with customers and utilizing multiple computer systems. The work performed includes explaining eligibility of applicants and recipients of government assistance programs, determining eligibility for expedited Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) services, entering client data into a database based on intake of caller information, maintaining necessary files and records.  

 

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Must be a current DCF Employee AND 

  • Two years of experience in clerical activities or public contact experience.

  • Preference will be given to candidates with six (6) months working as a Contact Center Interviewing Clerk-OPS team member.
