LOCATION: St. Petersburg (The court’s interim headquarters is in downtown Tampa. Our new courthouse in downtown St. Petersburg will open in December 2025.)
SALARY AND BENEFITS: $43,452 annually

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The facilities staff are an integral part of the Marshal’s Office. The role of the custodial supervisor is to:
• Perform routine and detailed cleaning of judicial and staff offices.
• Supervise one part-time custodian.
• Coordinate and inspect the work of contract custodians responsible for public and shared areas, document and report deficiencies to the Facilities Director.
• Develop cleaning schedules and coordinate court operations to minimize disruptions.
• Maintains custodial supply inventory and ensures proper cleaning equipment function.
• Ensure that safety and sanitation standards are strictly adhered to, including properly disposing of hazardous materials, regularly disinfecting high-touch surfaces, and complying with health and safety regulations.
• May be required to perform semi-skilled maintenance, repair, rehabilitation, and light construction activities under the direction of the Facilities Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years commercial custodial experience, including 1+ year in a supervisory role.
• Must be physically able to lift and/or move 50+ pounds, move furniture, climb multiple flights of stairs, climb a ladder, reach overhead, work from heights, bend at the waist, kneel and crouch, and work in tight spaces and rooftops.
• One year of experience in a journey-level trade as a journeyman or apprentice preferred.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• The position requires discretion when handling sensitive information.
• Employees must adhere to strict confidentiality standards and exercise discretion when exposed to sensitive information, documents, or conversations involving judicial operations and case matters.
• Must be willing to respond to emergency Facility issues as needed.
