Class Title: Government Operations Consultant I- OPS
Bi-weekly Salary: $19.39 per hour
Location: This position will report to Program Office Management and will be located in Tampa (Hillsborough County).
Please Note: Other Personal Services (OPS) employment is a temporary employer/employee relationship used solely for accomplishing short term or intermittent tasks. OPS employees do not fill established positions and may not be assigned the duties of any vacant authorized position. OPS employees are not eligible for benefits including leave accrual; however, they may be eligible to enroll in health insurance benefits.
The individual occupying this position will both lead and assist with various projects for the Economic Self-Sufficiency (ESS) Program Office, ensuring deliverables are met within designated time frames. This position will involve traveling within the Suncoast Region. Your application will be reviewed to determine if you meet the requirements for the position.

PRIMARY DUTIES MAY INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Serve as the Regional point of contact for all ESS equipment and inventory. Track, monitor, and maintain regional equipment levels to ensure operational needs are met.
- Review inventory levels across all locations and recommend orders or adjustments as needed. Collect, organize, and store all required equipment documentation and forms in accordance with Department standards.
- Provide training and guidance to Staff Assistants and administrative staff on inventory tracking procedures and expectations.
- Coordinating MyFlorida MarketPlace purchases and approvals for the program office in collaboration with other administrative personnel in the program office.
- Ensure accurate, detailed, and timely maintenance of all inventory records. Analyzes data to provide progress reports and recommend process improvements.
- Assist with other ESS Program Office projects, which could include hiring efforts and Staff Development activities.
- Support the distribution of inventory across all locations, perform regular audits and on-site visits.
- Completes all project plans and project task lists associated with forums or workgroups timely.
- Perform special assignments and other related work as required by the Regional ESS Senior Leadership or Executive Management Teams.
- Act as a Liaison between Departmental, Regional and External Agencies/Organizations.
- Respond to all inquiries and requests received, in a professional and timely manner, providing outstanding customer service.
- Performs other related work as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of inventory management principles, tracking methods, and documentation requirements.
- Skill in maintaining accurate records and ensuring documentation is complete, organized, and compliant with Department procedures.
- Ability to track, review, and reconcile inventory database to ensure equipment levels meet operational demands.
- Ability to train staff on inventory procedures, documentation requirements, and proper handling of equipment.
- The ability to organize work products, set priorities, determines short or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them.
- Knowledge of MS Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and local governing areas.
- Ability to organize data into logical format for presentations, report generations, metric development and analysis.
- Ability to work independently, be organized, and project a professional image in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to conduct fact-finding research and utilize problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Four years or more of professional experience in a position where the major responsibility was inventory management, equipment tracking, maintain program records or documentation, utilizing spreadsheets, tracking tools, inventory systems, supply ordering, distribution of supplies or equipment, supply chains, warehouse operations,
- OR have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university that can substitute for the experience.
- OR have 120 semester or 180 quarter hours of college that can substitute for the experience.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs. or more.
- Must be willing to travel.
