WORKING TITLE: GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS CONSULTANT II

This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at the Tampa Regional Office in the Facilities Management and Building Construction department.

The mission of the Facilities Management and Building Construction Department in the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) is to ensure the effective planning, design, construction, and maintenance of the Department's facilities.

This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

JOB DUTIES:

• Lease Management Coordination: Oversee and maintain the region’s real property lease management program, ensuring all leases are properly managed and maintained.
• Quarterly Inspections and Follow-Up: Conduct quarterly electronic evaluations of all leased properties, follow up with Lessors to address deficiencies, and prepare correspondence on leasing issues.
• Space Planning and Needs Assessment: Work with Central Office Leasing staff to determine and develop space needs and provide advice on space planning and build-out projects for leased spaces.
• Local Problem Resolution: Handle local issues related to real property leases, such as janitorial and maintenance problems, in coordination with field personnel.
• Staff Relocation and Safety: Coordinate the relocation of staff after buildouts or renovations, assist with space planning and inspections, and ensure office spaces are safe and habitable for staff and visitors.

BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT
