The incumbent will work from the office location in Jacksonville, Miami or Tampa.
Location will be based upon the selected candidate.
Business Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EST, Monday - Friday.
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week.
Some travel is required.
The Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking an experienced people operations professional to perform as a Hiring Specialist (Lead Worker) within the Economic Self Sufficiency (ESS) Program. This role supports high-volume hiring needs statewide for critical class positions within the ESS Customer Contact Center. This position serves as a senior individual contributor with lead worker responsibilities, providing guidance, training, and support to the Recruitment Team. The role reports to an ESS Recruitment Supervisor.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a current FL DCF employee.
- Must have three (3) years of full-time people operations, talent management, workforce support, HR or similar experience conducting full cycle recruitment and selection activities, such as job advertising, candidate screening, interviewing, talent outreach, policy research, and handling confidential personnel information.
- Must have experience using an applicant tracking system, such as People First Talent Management or Department of Children and Families Administrative Services Hub (DASH) and Smartsheet.
- Must be proficient operating MS Office to include PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook software.
- Must have a Valid Driver's License and able to lift 25 lbs. or more. (Travel is required to attend off-site job fairs, interviews and meetings as needed).
- Must be a current Notary Public, or willing to become a Notary Public.
Preference may be given to those with the following qualifications:
- Supervisory, mentorship or leadership experience.
