Assistant Public Defender – 13th Judicial Circuit, Tampa.


The Law Offices of Julianne M. Holt, Public Defender, 13th Judicial Circuit, Hillsborough County (Tampa), Florida is seeking both recent law school graduates and experienced attorneys to provide highly effective and professional representation to our clients.  We are also interviewing third-year law students and we make pre-graduation job offers that include the option to work at our office while studying for the bar exam. Military spouses who are members of out-of-state bars may be able to practice in our office without having to take the Florida Bar Exam.


The role of the assistant public defender is vitally important to our justice system. Candidates should be dedicated and service-minded with a sincere interest in providing the best possible legal representation for our clients. We invest in and value our attorneys as they are the key to our being able to provide excellent representation to our indigent clients. We are a training office and will mentor you as you learn the art of trying cases before juries.
