The Work You Will Do:

RIGHT OF WAY AGENT I DISTRICT SEVEN/DISTRICT RIGHT OF WAY

 

This position will provide administrative support for Right of Way operations, ensuring timely payments, and data integrity, while aiding issue resolution and public records requests to uphold FDOT’s mission.

Anticipated Pay:

$1,882.66 /biweekly

 

Your Specific Responsibilities:

Assists in performing right of way support which includes Work Program, records and funds management, to include processing of invoices in My Florida Market Place and P-cards, encumbering and de-encumbering funds for right of way staff, and warrant management.

 

Assists with public records requests and related inquiries.  Participates in Quality Control reviews.

 

Ensures data entry into Right of Way Management System (RWMS).

 

Reviews invoices.

 

Assists in addressing and resolving issues.

 

Ensures conformance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

 

The Successful Candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

Skills in:

  • EFFECTIVE WRITTEN AND ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
  • THE USE OF PERSONAL COMPUTERS, INCLUDING A WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF WORD PROCESSING AND SPREADSHEET SOFTWARE.

Ability to:

  • LEARN FLORIDA STATE AND LOCAL REAL ESTATE LAWS AND REGULATIONS, AND REAL ESTATE APPRAISAL AND FINANCE PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES.
  • MAINTAIN EXCELLENT INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS.
  • ANALYZE, INTERPRET, AND IMPLEMENT APPROPRIATE STATUTORY AND PROCEDURE REQUIREMENTS.
  • EFFECTIVELY PLAN, ORGANIZE, AND WORK INDEPENDENTLY.
  • MAKE DECISIONS AND MEET DEADLINES.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a Right of Way Agent I, or four (4) years of real estate experience defined as professional or technical experience in right-of-way administration; land management; abstract and title work; property management; or the sale, acquisition or appraisal of real estate/other related business experience, such as any role in customer service including retail sales. A bachelor’s degree can substitute for four (4) years of experience, an associate’s degree can substitute for two (2) years of experience.
