This position may require travel to various locations in Brevard County throughout the day.

Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nursing license required

Pediatric experience, school health experience and recent clinical experience preferred

  • Provide first aid, daily medications, and emergency medications to students and/or staff.
  • Perform health care procedures to students. These include but are not limited to intermittent clean catheterization, gastrostomy tube feeding, and monitoring blood glucose.
  • Assist with health screenings.
  • Inventory medical supplies.
  • Accurate record-keeping.
  • Attend School Health in-services as scheduled.
  • Total hours in workweek 29 following Brevard County’s school calendar.
  • Incumbent may be required to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency.
