Your Specific Responsibilities:

 

As an OPS Computer Support Specialist Within the Office of Information Technology the selected candidate(s) will provide technical support and assistance to staff; analyze problems and implement solutions.  Perform computer trouble

shooting; diagnose system problems; analyze Windows and iOS computing devices and peripherals' functionality; and identify, locate, resolve, and repair problems.

Monitor and resolve basic connectivity problems. Install, configure, and test hardware and/or software. Ensure software licensing compliance and inventory/asset control. Log, track, route, escalate, and respond to all service requests using standard service desk software.

Maintain communication with customers and document all actions taken throughout resolution process; ensuring service requests are answered promptly, professionally, courteously, and are routed to the appropriate areas. Perform preventative maintenance and repair hardware. Conduct end-user training in operation and use of hardware and software. Research, evaluate, and test hardware and software products and systems solutions.

Maintain Indian River CHD IT equipment inventory.

Treating customers, the public and DOH staff with courtesy and respect.

Assisting in disaster preparedness and response.

Serving as the initial contact for end users support.

Installing and Troubleshooting VoIP/Analog phones and Fax machines.

Initial setup/activation of mobile devices.

All other duties as directed by the Distributed Computer Systems Administrator.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

 

    • Knowledge of Statues, and Rules and Regulations that pertain to the Programs.
    • Knowledge of distributed processing operations, software, procedures, and   equipment.
    • Knowledge of computer hardware and software.
    • Knowledge of problem-solving techniques.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft OS including Windows 7, Windows 10 and Widows Server 2012-2019.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
    • Knowledge of the Open System Interconnection Model (OSI) preferred.
    • Knowledge of Tools and Supplies related to Information Technology.
    • Knowledge of IP/Analog phone systems Preferred.
    • Knowledge of troubleshooting and setup of Smartphones.

 

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • In the event of an emergency, Indian River County Health Department is required to perform emergency operations functions, including working during or beyond your normal work hours or days in a special needs shelter or Red Cross shelter, or performing other emergency duties due to man-made or natural disasters
  • Have or can you obtain a Valid Florida Drivers License within 30 days
  • Have 1-3 years of experience in the Information Technology field
