  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Active Florida RN License or a multi-state license from another Compact State
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Basic Life Support Certification
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Required to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or day in the event of an emergency
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Occasional flexible work hours and use of personal vehicle.

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Duties and Responsibilities      

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">This is professional nursing work in Contact Tracing and Case Investigation.   Access to confidential records and computer access.

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Uses knowledge of quality improvement (QI) methods and processes to work with other staff to help identify opportunities for improvement and develop a culture of quality within DOH-Indian River; assists in improvement projects, as assigned.

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Assists with coordination and provides enhanced surveillance and tracking of all communicable diseases to determine outbreak or presence of disease in accordance with IRCHD All Hazards Emergency Plan. 

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Responsible for daily epidemiology MERLIN database maintenance tasks including investigation and interview of cases of reportable communicable diseases.

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Assists in planning and conducting in-service programs, and professional education for employees, community-based organizations, and private providers.
