Your Specific Responsibilities:
This position spends the majority of the time engaged in supervisory responsibilities and has overall responsibility for the operations of the Florida Department of Health in Brevard County (DOH-Brevard) Information Technology department.
Creates, reviews and approval proposals for specific Information Technology related improvements.
Creation and maintenance of the infrastructure for an agency-wide telephone system unifying six CHD sites.
Creation and implementation of plan and operations for digital radiography services for all their dental clinics.
Prepares reports and correspondence.
Oversees the budget and activities of the Information Technology section. Oversees updates to and accuracy of all DOH-Brevard capital equipment in the Asset Management System (AMS) and DOH-Brevard assets within the Brevard County government’s inventory records.
Provides MyFloridaMarketPlace approval backup for the CHD Financial Administrator.
Responsible for all information both confidential and public record, which is stored in hard copy or electronic formats.
Serves as the DOH-Brevard Information Technology Disaster Recovery Coordinator. Responsible for continuously updating the DOH-Brevard Continutiy of Operatons Informaton Technology (COOP-IT) documentation, training staff on disaster response activities and minimum of one annual test of the COOP-IT plan.
Utilize Citrix Cloud for delivery groups and machine catalog creation and maintenance.
Attends on-site, virtual, and off-site meetings and trainings.
Serves as the Incident Report Liaison for DOH-Brevard.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of the principles and practices of supervision and management. Knowledge of the budgetary process and fiscal control procedures. Knowledge of PC, Server, Network, and Application (Software) support and maintenance. Knowledge of computer operations systems and procedures. Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of computer programming and system design. Ability to manage an information technology department and efficiently disperse information technology resources. Knowledge of the methods used in verifying and analyzing data. Knowledge of basic mathematics. Ability to supervise people. Ability to plan, direct and evaluate program activities. Ability to apply technical innovations to existing programs. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Qualifications:
Minimum –
One year experience with Information Technology disaster recovery operations.
Two years’ experience with Citrix Cloud including delivery groups and machine catalog creation and/or maintenance
Preferred –
One year experience with management of IT Helpdesk
Two years’ experience training Information Technology staff
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology
Certification in CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, and CompTIA Security
