Your Specific Responsibilities:
- Employee works in the School Health Program and reports directly to the Assistant Comm Health Nursing Director. This individual performs a variety of office duties, but will not be limited to the following:
- The employee in this position is responsible for day to day collection, review, and entry of DOH HMS data base information consisting of time and services provided by all the School Health OPS staff.
- The employee will verify entries for accuracy, work closely with all School Health Program supervisors to ensure all time and worksheet logs submitted by the clinic staff are on time and correct.
- The employee researches and traces all errors ensuring corrections are made.
- The employee keeps supervisors and staff informed concerning all HMS issues.
- The employee runs reports and print-outs to verify the accuracy of input on all the information provided.
- The employee scans documents as needed.
- The employee generates reports for distributions to supervisors as determined by the Assistant Comm Health Nursing Director.
- The employee notifies the Assistant Comm Health Nursing Director of any discrepancies in a timely fashion.
- The employee organizes and maintains documents and a confidential filing system. Meets productivity expectations, complies with timeliness entry parameters.
- Demonstrates team support to the School Health staff.
- Answers coding queries for the staff by referencing the Personal Health Coding Manual 50-20.
- The employee assist with the data collection, review, data entry of information, preparation and timely submission of the School Health Programs Annual Report.
- Establishes and maintains a good working relationship with staff and supervisor.
- Follows FDOH policies and procedures.
- Submits time sheets in a correct and timely manner.
- Submits EAR accurately within 7 days of service.
- Accurately submits and completes monthly travel documents.
- Completes mandatory training to promote professional growth in a timely manner.
- Attends assigned meetings and in-services related to the job position.
- The employee will assist the Administrative Assistant 1 as needed.
- Will perform other related duties and special projects as assigned by supervisor.
- In the event of a disaster, report for duty prior to, during or/and after the disaster as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- General office practice.
- Computer literacy skills.
- Knowledge of correct grammar.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
- Knowledge of basic mathematics and typing skills.
Qualifications:
Minimum-
Must be proficient in data entry, proficient in meeting data entry deadlines, proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
Preferred- recent (within 1 year) experience working in health care.
