Summary

The primary function of the Payroll Associate is to process Fifteenth Judicial Circuit County-funded employee payroll. In addition to primary function of the position, the payroll associate will provide advanced administrative, organizational, coordinating, and clerical support to the Human Resources Team. These tasks include (but is not limited to) assisting with the communication of senior judge assignments and procedures, providing coverage to the front desk, sending correspondences, maintaining confidential HR documents, communicating HR policies and providing administrative assistance during special projects. The Payroll Associate works under the direct supervision of an executive leadership position within the Human Resources Team.

Examples of Work Performed

  • Assist with coordinating senior judge assignments in accordance to Administrative Order No. 11.201-9/24.
  • Assist with payroll duties for Fifteenth Judicial Circuit County-funded employees.
  • Assist with coordinating events
  • Send correspondences to relevant stakeholders
  • Maintain and update reports
  • Serve as the primary back up to the front desk receptionist
  • Answer and transfer calls on a multi-line phone system and greet visitors
  • Provide information and direct callers/visitors to proper personnel, as well as screen telephone calls and direct visitors to the secure areas of Court Administration
  • Resolve issues and process sensitive/confidential documents
  • Set up and maintain files, books, records, and other departmental systems of responsibility
  • Type documents, maintain calendars, process mail, and shred documents
  • Establish a working relationship with judges and court personnel
  • Provide clerical assistance to Human Resources department

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

High School Diploma (or GED) and a minimum of one year of college or vocational school education in office skills, computer or closely related field; plus a minimum of two years related experience. Additional relevant experience may substitute for college education on a year-for-year basis.   

PREFERRED: 

Experience working in Human Resources.

Relevant experience and/or education may substitute for the recommended minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis.
