Summary

 

The essential functions are to provide administrative, technical and specialized clerical support to the General Counsel and Director of Case Management. The successful candidate will have experience in and enjoy the flexibility of working in both areas competently while contributing to the broader needs of Court Administration. Uncompromising integrity and confidentiality is required of the individual in this position.  Occasional travel to the other Circuit courthouses is required.  

 

Examples of Work Performed

 

  • Provide administrative support for various operation and programs to the General Counsel and Director of Court Management.  
  • Prepare correspondence, memoranda, court orders, reports, e-mails and other documents.  
  • Organize process server application process and court appointed attorney applications. 
  • Work independently under general supervision according to procedures while developing work methods and sequences; strict confidentiality is mandatory.  
  • Interact with Judges, non-judicial officers, state court system personnel, vendors and the general public.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

High School Diploma

Preferred:

Experience working in public administration or legal field.

                                                                           AND/OR

One year of experience in a business setting as an administrative assistant or other support role.

 

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  

  • Ability to build collaborative working relationships with managers and supervisors.

  • Exceptional ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects while delivering results.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to make decisions.

  • Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel.

  • Ability to work independently and think analytically.

  • Strong team skills with the ability to be flexible.
