DESCRIPTION
This advanced professional position incorporates reviewing, assessing, and analyzing data, make recommendations, problem solve, document workflow and other activities. The incumbent must have a working knowledge of child abuse, neglect and maltreatments and possess analytical skills to address complex activities. The incumbent must also maintain a working knowledge of federal, and state laws as well as administrative codes and operating procedures pertaining to child welfare practices.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
The selected candidate will be expected to gather and organize data into logical formats for presentation in reports, planning documents and other written materials. Coordinate the development and dissemination of regular and ad hoc reports detailing regional performance on outcome and process measures, help draft narratives around analytics and create visual representations of findings. This position encompasses data analysis, evaluation and providing consultation and subject matter expertise regarding trends and patterns impacting family safety program within the Southeast Region.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
- Knowledge of family safety and preservation.
- Knowledge of theories and practice of child protection, counseling, social work, investigations, and family assessments.
- Knowledge of methods of compiling, organizing, and analyzing data.
- Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document workflow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices.
- Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials.
- Skill in child protection, counseling, social work, investigations, and family assessments.
- Ability to develop methods for monitoring and evaluating quality of service and compliance with rules, policies and statutes.
- Ability to review and evaluate plans and programs.
- Ability to identify improvements and adjustments needed to insure program effectiveness and efficiency.
- Ability to establish and maintain a liaison with other agencies.
- Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
- Ability to use computer systems.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities.
