This advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Reg, Director’s Office-Community Corrections Reg 4..

Salary: $44,060.11 annually

 

SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The incumbent in this position is responsible for coordinating all community corrections training activities within the region of assignment. Responsible for the management of the regional Criminal Justice Standards and Training Trust Fund Budget. Assistance in the management and formulation of training policies and procedures. Responsible for implementing, coordinating, delivering and evaluating training programs.
  • Performs planning, management coordination and administration of training programs within the assigned region. Conducts research, collects training data, and formulates reports as instructed. Coordinates with Central Office to evaluate training activities in accordance with Staff Development guidelines. Ensures that all training activities are in accordance with laws, rules, policies, procedures, and guidance from management. Develops training curricula and lesson plans designed to meet circuit specific training needs within a regional area. Reports on all activities to the Community Corrections Regional Director as directed.
  • Assists with the scheduling and instruction of Correctional Probation Officer in-service, specialized, and advanced training courses as directed. Provide Pre/Post-Academy training to basic recruits. Responsible for updating lesson plans due to procedure changes. Provide consultation, technical assistance, and training to staff within specified regional area. Assists in maintaining a training library of approved materials that includes training videos, publications, books, lesson plans and other related training materials. Manage and coordinate all activities associated with newly hired probation officers throughout their in-processing, training and certification period.
  • Updates and schedules training through the department's Staff Training and Records System (E-Train). Maintains employee-training records and monitors compliance with annual in-service employee training requirements for certified, auxiliary and support staff using E-Train and ATMS II systems. Assists in preparing training documents necessary for budget requests and other reports or briefings. Serve on committees, special task forces, and projects as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must be General Instructor Techniques certified
  • Must be Correctional Probarion or Correctional Officer certified
  • Must be able to travel overnight as necessary to conduct/facilitate training as needed
