OPS Government Operations Consultant I

Specific Responsibilities:

This is an OPS Government Operations Consultant I for the Quality Improvement Office under the supervision of the Operations and Management Consultant II – SES.  This position requires independent judgement and decision making. 

  • Develop and implements new Quality Improvement training as directed. Revise existing training as needed.  
  • Facilitate team activities for staff. Facilitate and monitor Process Management teams and Quality Improvement projects and initiatives. Conducts data collection and analysis.  
  • Provides Quality Improvement related assistance and makes recommendations regarding quality improvement projects and initiatives. 
  • Works with management staff to assess progress made towards established objectives. 
  • Assist with the coordination of the Performance Management Council (PMC) meetings including agendas, meeting minutes and follow up actions. 
  • Assist with the Public Health Accreditation activities, including the Performance Management Quality Improvement (PMQI) Plan, Community Health Assessment (CHA), Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP), and Workforce Development Plan (WPD). 
  • Assist the Quality Improvement Manager in ensuring completion of all Public Health Accreditation documentation. 
  • Assist with the projects and initiatives of the Workforce Development Grant as directed by the Quality Improvement Manager.
  • Maintain confidential information in accordance with the Department of Health Information Security Policy, Protocols and Procedures.
  • This is a full-time, in-office position.
  • Incumbent may be required to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. Emergency duty required of the incumbent includes working in special needs shelters, or performing other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Three or more years of practical experience performing a variety of quality improvement assignments, data analysis, project management or conducting training for small groups or individuals; or
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related core business field; or
  • An associate’s degree and two or more years of experience in quality improvement assignments, training or a related core field.
