The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Division of Habitat and Species Conservation is comprised of six sections and two offices. This position is in the Wildlife and Habitat Management Section.
Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma and eight years of professional experience in administrative work. An associate’s degree can substitute for two of the eight years of experience and a bachelor’s degree can substitute for four of the eight years of experience.
Other requirements: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check. Must possess and maintain a valid minimum Class E State of Florida driver’s license. Occasional overnight travel is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of MyFloridaMarketPlace, the Purchasing Card system, and State of Florida purchasing processes preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must be familiar with and able to utilize computers using Microsoft Office applications, telecommunications equipment, and general office equipment. Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments. Ability to handle telephone calls in a courteous and effective manner and provide excellent customer service in a consistent manner. Must be well organized, punctual, and display a cooperative and professional attitude. Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Knowledge of office procedures and practices and the principles and techniques of effective communications. Skilled in typing and data entry. Ability to produce final products within established timelines. Ability to organize files and other records; use correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar; and type letters and other standard forms in correct format.
