OPS STAFF ASSISTANT

 PALM BEACH COUNTY (POSITION 77901795)

 

 

 

This is a full time position  (32 hours per week) to support the FWC Division of Law Enforcement's South A Region administrative staff. Punctuality and attendance are critical.

 

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word and Excel
  • answer the telephone and respond in a professional, courteous, and confident manner
  • organize and prioritize work
  • comprehend and utilize written and verbal instructions
  • work well individually and within a group environment

 

The function of this position will be to complete any assignment listed below or as given on an as needed basis. Other assignments include but are not limited to:

  • check and maintain the office equipment is in operating condition.
  • auditing monthly vehicle/vessel logs and data entry into FLEET
  • prepare and maintain the 28-day rotational schedule for the Captains area
  • answering law enforcement telephone line and provide appropriate response to each call
  • open, sort and distribute incoming mail
  • accept and distribute subpoenas for officers within the Region
  • other general administrative duties as assigned

 

This position is not a career service assignment, but does include some benefits. 

 

Fingerprint and background investigation required and will be completed by FWC.
