REQUIREMENTS

The incumbent is required to have a valid Florida Driver’s License. Travel is required.

 

Business hours are from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday.

Employment in this position is contingent upon a satisfactory criminal history check (fingerprint-based) in accordance with Chapter 435, Florida Statutes. The criminal history check must be completed prior to or within the first three days of employment.

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Three years of experience in logistics, property, or inventory control. College education from an institution can substitute at the rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours for up to two years of the required experience.

                                      

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

PROPERTY MANAGEMENT:

  • Create annual inventory schedule and account for all property assigned to regional staff.  Assist property custodians with unlocated items.
  • Complete all Surplus Property Declaration (SPD) forms and dispose of property once all paperwork is final.
  • Serve as Review Board Chairman for surplus items in the region.
  • Process Property Transfer Requests (PTR) for the region.
  • Ensure property number stickers are assigned and affixed to the correct asset.
  • Work in coordination with the regional Information Technology (IT) staff to surplus IT equipment.
  • Enter regional updates needed for the statewide property master list into the Florida Accounting Information Resources (FLAIR).
  • Serve as the point of contact for all asset inquiries from regional program personnel.

 

FACILITY MANAGEMENT:

  • Assist Regional Operations Manager with maintenance and repairs for the regional office.
  • Evaluate regional facilities for potential Fixed Capital Outlay (FCO) projects.
  • Inspect all regional facilities to address safety concerns and to ensure American Disability Act (ADA).
  • Ensure compliance with State and local fire codes and annual inspections of fire extinguishers and fire alarms.
  • Assist with regional hurricane preparation.
  • Serve as the regional contact for damage caused to property or facilities during a natural disaster/storm.
  • Update the Facility Inventory Tracking System (FITS) for all regional facilities on an annual basis.

 

RISK MANAGEMENT:

  • Responsible for all aspects of equipment Damage/Accident Reports process within the region including working in coordination with Dept. of Financial Services (DFS), insurance companies and agency staff.
  • Responsible for appropriately handling damage settlement cash and checks received.
  • Responsible for making sure FWC facilities and their contents are properly insured and photographed.

 

FLEET MANAGEMENT:

  • Assist DOIs (except LE), where necessary, with purchases of mobile equipment for the region.
  • Coordinate new vehicle deliveries with the vendor and upon delivery, verify goods.
  • Process requests for tags, fuel cards and property number stickers.
  • Process MP6401 for the old equipment to be surplused and schedule transport to auction.
  • Ensure all surplus equipment has had all insignia; light bars, radios, etc. removed prior to being picked up by towing vendor.
  • Assist regional staff with issues regarding fuel cards, tags, property stickers, or fleet purchases.
  • Assist regional staff with the Florida Fleet Information Management (FIMS) System.
  • Administrative Support and Continued Professional Development
  • Provides reception coverage for South Regional Office in the absence of Regional Office Manager.
  • Works independently by taking personal responsibility for completing individual/work group objectives, meeting challenges, assisting peers as needed, and learning/using new software.
  • Seeks opportunities for personal improvement through relevant job-related training.

Performs other duties as assigned.
